I have always been passionate about textiles and spent most of my life threading needles and getting excited about fabrics.
I studied City and Guilds for five years which provided an excellent grounding for my degree course at Coventry University. I gained a BA[ Hons] in Surface Decoration seven years ago after a fantastic time experimenting with a wide variety of textile techniques. I particularly enjoy combining processes and exploring colour to create beatuiful and interesting decorative textural surfaces.
I have gained further experience whilst teaching textiles and art- based activities and worshops at several venues including Birmingham and Solihull Secondary Schools, Adult Community Centres, mac Birmingham, The Core, Solihull Council, and Day Care Centres.
I really enjoy the diversity and challenges every project brings with opportunities to stitch, print, dye, paint, felt, bond, burn and more.
